Baby gets her new shoes!

So although I dont actually drive the truck shes still 'our' baby lol and she got herself a new set of shoes last week and she looks so preeeeeeeeeeeetty!!! Louis and I spent a good 2 hours yesterday putting a coat of wax on her and buffing her then doing the same to the rims and god she looks hot!! Going to miss her when I go home!
Speaking of going home its only about 4 weeks now! Boo hooooooo!! Back to the 'summer' weather of the UK and work etc.
Just means I have another holiday to look forward to later on in the year, I plan on going home, working my socks off, saving every penny and coming back out when I can.

So next weekend we are planning a trip to Lake Pleasant, really looking forward to that as jumping in the water in this heat sounds like an awesome idea to me! I miss being able to go to the sea whenever I want to be honest think thats one thing I took for granted when I lived in Portsmouth. Although I think the weather is probably one of the reasons why I didnt think it was that great lol. Still though I will pay it a visit when I get home!

Louis is really settling into his job I think which Im really glad about!

The clocks have changed which means that the UK is now 8 hrs behind Phoenix which is a royal pain in the butt! Going to make speaking to Louis a pain in the ass when I get back but we will just have to co ordinate it well.

I start my cake decorating class tonight which Im really looking forward to!! Been wanting to take a class like that for years and its so cheap over here! You get a little certificate and Im sure I wont be any expert but will just give me some pointers so I can make cakes for family birthdays and stuff. Give me a hobby to do whilst im at home.
Seriously going to miss the weather though to be honest! Thinking about moving abroad to another hot country but in Europe or closer to the US so its cheaper for me to fly and see Louis lol, I dont know .........dreams are free I suppose?

Anyway Im off to the gym for some more running!

Singed hair, trucks and more hot sun

sunny 27 °C

I think the biggest change Ive seen since I got here is the condition of my hair! lol. The sun is so hot here that my hair just cant hold the moisture, so dry and frizzy Ive had to have quite a bit cut off. Hopefully when I get home in a few weeks I can give it a few intensive treatments and it will get back to normal, at the moment its looking like Ive stuck my fingers in a plug! lol.

So Louis FINALLY got a truck!!! Thank god I dont have to be walk around any more car dealerships and talk to anymore car salesman! Its a gorgeous thing, a dark blue truck with a flat bed, I love it! Its Louis' new toy so gives him something to play with when I go home lol.

Speaking of which Ive already got work lined up for when I go back which is a relief! So means I can save up for my next trip which Im not sure when will be but at least I know I can start saving for it now! Would love to spend my birthday in the states, the first time I would have good weather and hot hot sunshine on my birthday! We will see though all depends on whats going on with work etc.
Starting to get a little bit of a travel bug though and thinking about seeing more places from now on, Ive never really been one for having a career, theres never really been anything Im good at doing to be honest. I seem to be one of those people who just floats along from job to job without really achieving anything in life, is that sad? I am good at communicating with people and looking after people, something I have had much experience in my whole life but frankly I dont want to be doing it forever Ive already done my share I think. I see everyone else in jobs for positions that they trained for years to get into and others going to college or university because they know exactly what they want to do, me though I have mostly done what other people have told me I will be good at. Never really been much of an achiever at anything, that kind of makes me feel a little pathetic but the only things I have ever wanted to do Ive been told not to because it doesn't earn much money or they dont think it would suit me.
So Ive seen some of the states and there are sooooooooo many other places in the world to see that I may just work for a bit, travel, come back, work and save, travel and carry on like that until I find what it is Im supposed to be doing with my life, everyone else seems to know but me.........

One thing I am really going to miss when I go back to the UK is the sun! Fair enough its going to be summer when I get home (well the beginning anyway) but this week for example in Mesa its going to be 90 degrees this weekend!!!! Its blooming hot dont get me wrong but Ive always loved the summer and the sun and how it just makes everyone feel better so being here, having longer days and more things to do makes me happy.

I spoke to my two younger sisters on skype today and I think the battery died on the laptop because it cut off lol. I will try them again tomorrow. Loved seeing their faces and how they are still the same loonies that I left in February lol. They make me smile so much.

I went to the gym again today and am going to book in for some classes there so I can get fit, feeling a little unmotivated about things and dont like it so going to the gym gives me a bit of a 'get up and go' also makes me feel good when I come out and walk home in the sunshine!

Anyway time for sleep as I have an early start tomorrow at the gym

Hot Hot Hot

I thought I would have got used to the weather by now and in a sense I have but the temperature has started to increase over the last few days and its only going to get hotter, crazy! Its a good excuse to wear the nice summer stuff I have but its not like the heat at home its heavy like you cant breathe, forget doing anything slightly exerting!
So right now Im restricted when Louis is at work to walking to the gym and working out and then hanging round for a bit before walking home again.

So its now at the 5 week mark until I come home I believe which Im kind of looking forward to and also a little sad to be leaving this place as its not a bad place to live.

Yesterday was a family day at Louis' work they had a tour of all the work areas so I got to see where he works and how he builds the helicopters, was actually pretty interesting as most of us just see the end product. The wiring that goes into those things is crazy!
They also had alot of other stalls there such as face painting, classic cars (which was awesome!), food (queue was too big so we ate somewhere else), and then they had the Pet Adoption stall, this totally killed me! There were all these gorgeous dogs that had no names. They had all been brought straight from the pound and if they weren't homed within a certain time frame then they were going to be put down. We petted loads of them as they were too cute to just walk by. There was one in particular a cross bred who was so cute and really well behaved and he seemed to like Louis and I, the woman who was his dog walker had nicknamed him 'Lucky' in the hope it would bring him luck. He was laying down in the shade when we were petting him and then when we got up to leave he stood up and started to follow us and then stopped and watched us walk away.....I actually welled up and said I wanted to leave! Seriously I would have taken them all home if I could! There were so many of them that's what got me and they were all strays so none even had a name! How can you not look for your dog if they go missing?? I've been around dogs most of my life and although they sometimes test your patience I would never not look for them if they went missing! Dogs are the most amazing animals and really are great friends to their owners so why do people treat them so badly? It baffles me and really upsets me!
Been on my mind since to be honest.

time gap

So my blogging is seeming to stretch out to once a week roughly now. Never was a great one for keeping a diary as a kid or a teenager so guess not much has changed in that department!

Mainly Ive been out and about on my bike, playing catch with Louis and taking the kids to the park when they get back from school.
Louis signed up to a gym which allows a guest to go free so Ive started going to the gym and am dying from it but it will be worth it in the end. Louis is getting settled into his new job which Im really happy about, means that he will have something to keep him occupied in the months between my visits. Im really enjoying it here but I also miss my family and friends so am really looking forward to going home to see them all and have some girly nights before my lovely friend Katie sets off to uni in Plymouth :0( sad that just as Im getting back shortly after that we will be saying goodbye to her. However, another excuse for weekends away!! Please excuse my grammar on this entry Im dying my hair and only have 7 minutes so thought I would take the chance to write a quick entry!

Really looking forward to seeing Louis when he gets back!!! Miss him when hes not here during the day lol!

Right time to rinse off so I will hopefully write in here again soon!

Baseball

sunny 28 °C

Had an awesome day today!

Went out on my new bike that I picked up!! My beautiful beach cruiser! I loooooooooooooooooooooove it!!!!! We brought it last night and as soon as we got home Louis changed into his rollerblades and I put sneakers on and we went straight out for a bike ride at 10pm! Such a kid but I love it!!!

We found a store called FYE and they sell new and used DVDs and CDs etc, we found the stand up comedy section and brought a load, should keep us entertained for nights in! Luckily we have similar tastes in comedy!

So after my intoduction to baseball today being a positive outcome this definitely means that when we go to see the Diamondbacks baseball team tomorrow!! My first baseball game and Louis's first professional baseball game, its going to be about 28 degrees so I brought a hat under Louis's instruction! So tomorrow should be AWESOME!! Plenty of pictures and a great experience!
